Raising Gifted Children

What is a gifted child? Is a gifted child one with special needs? Or is a gifted child one with an exceptional talent, or aptitude?

Well, a gifted child is simply any child. Each child, regardless of their capacity has been gifted to their parents, who have the responsibility to encourage, motivate and aid in the development of their tyke.

As some of you may already know, raising children is no easy task. Even with the most cooperative child, there are challenges that rise out of trying to keep your child enthused and excited about learning new things.

Before our son was born I had already begun to research methods for engaging him. There are some things that worked, others were vehemently opposed. With each exercise we tried, I learned something new about our son and decided to keep a journal.

I don’t know if this journal will be useful for anyone other than myself, and perhaps our son when is a little older and wants to reflect, but I’ll use it as a measuring tool for our progress.
